Designer & Storyteller
Hello! My name is Kaitlin (she/her) and I am a UX Designer with a background in creative writing, psychology, and information sciences.
I have been captivated by stories my entire life. Before I could even read or write, I was telling tales in crayon scribbles, trying to capture and convey my evolving observations of the world. Over the years, I’ve engaged with stories in any way I could, from ballet to books, from video games to illustration. The stories I’ve been drawn to the most have always been centered around human connection. Through user experience design, I’ve learned a new way to explore stories in one of the most impactful ways possible. Now, I take my observations of the human experience and turn them into solutions that support how people interact with an ever-evolving world.
Most recently, I worked as a UX Designer at VelocityEHS, where our mission was to make workplaces safer. At VelocityEHS, I led the end-to-end research and design process for their EHS product suite and worked on design flows for many of the new microservice APIs. Within my first eight months at the company, I was also appointed as the lead designer for the primary front-end development team. I facilitated the implementation of our new design system for our enterprise platform, Accelerate. To learn more about my work at VelocityEHS, please download my resume or check out my LinkedIn below.
I am currently looking for my next role in the UX space. My goal is always to create experiences that help and empower people. I believe in user advocacy, participatory design, and continuously refining the ways we approach human-centered design.
When I’m not thinking about design, I’m still telling stories through my art, my writing, and my many Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
